Create the Lesson Overview
The “About this Lesson” Page
Every lesson has an “About this lesson” page. In CALI Author, the “About this lesson” page is located above the Table of Contents on the left.
The “About this lesson” page gives an overview of the lesson, including its title, description, how long it takes to complete, and who created it. When authoring a new lesson, you’ll need to complete this page. When editing a lesson, you may need to amend certain fields.

Learning Outcomes
Most CALI Lessons have “Learning Outcomes” that describe what the student will learn in the lesson. The Learning Outcomes should follow the description. For example:
This lesson is the first of two lessons that explore the performance of a contract for the sale of goods. It covers tender, inspection and rejection.
Learning Outcomes
On completion of the lesson, the student will be able to:
1. Define tender.
2. Explain the buyer’s right of inspection.
3. State and explain the perfect tender rule.
4. Articulate the cure rules.
5. Describe the buyer’s duties after rejection.
Start each learning outcome with a clear action verb that describes what the student will be able to do. Avoid vague or passive words.
Example:
❌ Non-action: Understand the buyer’s right of inspection.
✅ Action: Explain the buyer’s right of inspection.
